The Bucks County Coroner has ruled the death of George Redner III, 27, of Tullytown’s Levittown section, a suicide.
Redner was struck Saturday morning by an Amtrak train as it came through SEPTA’s Levittown station.
Police said a suicide note was left by the 27-year-old who served his community through the Edgely Fire Company, Six Flags Fire Company and Bucks County Rescue Squad.
The last train strike death in Lower Bucks County happened earlier this year when a 65-year-old Bensalem man was killed Amtrak train near the Croydon Train station. His death was ruled a suicide.

The man killed when he was struck by an Amtrak train at SEPTA’s Levittown station in Tullytown Saturday morning has been identified as a local firefighter and medic.
George Redner III, 27, of Tullytown’s Levittown section, was killed by the train as is passed through the train station around 10:20 a.m., officials said.
Tullytown Chief of Police Daniel Doyle told LevittownNow.com the Bucks County Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy and rule the cause of death for Redner.
Redner – the son of longtime volunteer firefighter George Redner Jr. and Pennsbury School Board Vice President Jacqui Redner – worked at Bristol Township’s Bucks County Rescue Squad and the Six Flags Fire Department in New Jersey. He also volunteered with the Edgely Fire Company in Bristol Township.
Doyle said Redner was preparing to join the Philadelphia Fire Academy to continue his career of public service.
Redner’s mother posted on social media that her son was the person “who could make anyone smile.”
“It is with the deepest sadness and regret that the officers and firefighters of the Six Flags Fire Department announce the sudden and untimely passing of full-time Firefighter George R. Redner III,” the Six Flag Fire Department posted in a statement. “At this time we ask for your thoughts and prayers with George’s family and friends. George will be greatly missed by all. We love you brother. Rest easy.”
The Bucks County Rescue Squad posted the following message on their Facebook page:

Redner was struck by Amtrak train 663. The multi-car train was heading from New York City to Harrisburg on the Keystone Service line. More than 300 people were aboard the train at the time of the incident, officials said.
Firefighters, medics and police blocked of the train station for hours following the incident. Transit officials said service was delayed during the investigation into Redner’s death.
Police officers focused part of their investigatory efforts on a blue car parked in the train station parking lot.
Friends and family of the Redners, who have many family members involved in public service, arrived to their Levittown home to support the family Saturday afternoon and evening.
